Course Overview

Based on the principles of Situational Leadership® II and taught by business guru Ken Blanchard, Self Management from Ninth House instills participants with the knowledge to take the initiative in solving problems and increase their personal effectiveness. Self Management provides the techniques of how to set and achieve goals, get the direction and support they need and how to garner and manage relationships more effectively.

This course is ideal for organizations seeking to empower high-potential employees with a proven methodology for increasing a sense of initiative as well as setting and achieving goals. This in turn develops self-directed employees who can succeed with less direct supervision and hands-on management.

After completing this course, participants will have a working knowledge of the Three Skills of a Situational Leader. Additionally, managers who complete this course will understand the four situational leadership styles, identify how they differ, and then match those styles in the workplace based on specific situations, employees, goals and timing.

eSeries® Simulations for Self Management

Course participants will practice what they have learned and put their newfound techniques into action with these simulations from Ninth House.

Self Management eSeries: Part 1

Using the principles of Self Management, learn to overcome obstacles and take initiative to build new skills. Help Gavin, the Production Manager for WileyToys.com, take on a daunting new challenge, set goals, and get the help he needs to succeed.

Self Management eSeries: Part 2

Participants will learn to become confident and proficient in any task, then negotiate for more authority using Self Management skills. Help Gavin become a peak performer and seek new challenges that may seem beyond the realm of his job description.
