Covey has dedicated his life to demonstrating how every person can truly control their destiny with profound, yet straightforward guidance. As an internationally respected leadership authority, family expert, teacher, organizational consultant, and author, his advice has given insight to millions.

Dr. Covey is the author of several acclaimed books, including the international bestseller, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®. Named the #1 Most Influential Business Book of the Twentieth Century, it has sold more than 20 million copies in 38 languages throughout the world. His other books include First Things First, Principle-Centered Leadership, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Families and The 8th Habit.

He is the co-founder and Vice-Chairman of FranklinCovey Inc, a global professional-services firm selling both effectiveness training and productivity tools to individuals and organizations. With the mission to “enable greatness in people and organizations everywhere", FranklinCovey helps companies succeed by unleashing the power of their workforce to focus and execute on top business priorities. The company has nearly 1,500 associates in 39 offices around the globe.

Dr. Covey holds a BS degree in Business Administration from University of Utah in Salt Lake City, an MBA from Harvard University, and a Doctorate from Brigham Young University. A father of nine and a grandfather of forty-seven, he received the Fatherhood Award from the National Fatherhood Initiative in 2003.
